I have been taking photography seriously since January 2004 - when I purchased my first SLR- a Nikon F80, two days before my son Sam was born. The timing was perfect - my first SLR and a new baby in the house so I threw myself into photography with lots of enthusiasm, although no training.
Reading every book, magazine and web guide of merit that I could get my hands on, and finally buying some interesting cameras has allowed me to develop a style and an idea about what I want out of photography. In these days of automatic/everything high spec digital cameras, anyone can point the device, press the button and get a decent image. For me, the object of photography, as an art rather than a form of recording images, is to convey mood and atmosphere in a way that evokes an emotional response.
Go ahead and have a look at the photos now- hopefully one or two of them will mean something for you.
